Don't Miss Light Painting in Pilsen!
The CZECH THE LIGHT cultural events series supported by the CzechTourism agency in cooperation with SIGNAL festival is not visiting only its five main stops. Presentations of the light installations in Kutná Hora, Brno, Olomouc, Český Krumlov and Prague are accompanied by a number of teasers that, however, receive the same attention.
What exactly are they about? They are all about the relatively new art form called “light painting” that you can try to learn yourselves at one of the many fun interactive workshops. The closest one with the light artist Andrej Boleslavský will be held in Pilsen on 21th June, it will be open to families with children as well as all the others who wish to try the light painting themselves. The darkness serves for canvas and different light sources are used instead of pigments to paint the light paintings. In fact you can create unbelievable photo effects using longer exposure.

The workshop starts at 9:00p.m. in the pedestrian zone in front of the Vestředu gallery (Martinská 3) and admission is free; if you own a camera and tripod, do not definitely leave your home without them. More photo equipment means more groups that will be able to do their paintings at the same time, and of course, you will be able to take your printed works home with you.

If Pilsen is too far out of your way, do not despair. Similar events will be held in many other cities till the end of the year – for the list of cities, see here.
