Visit CZECH THE LIGHT Events at the SIGNAL Festival
This year’s edition of the CZECH THE LIGHT project is drawing to a close; however, its major highlight is still to come – the second edition of the SIGNAL Light Festival, that will offer a number of side events together with the CzechTourism agency, will be held in Prague on 16th – 19th October.
As early as 16th October, your children can join the “Games with Light, Shadow and Architecture for Children” workshop, where they will explore the role of light and darkness in our life and in the history of mankind. On the same day, there will also be a round table discussion focusing on the light festivals phenomenon; the event will be open to the public.

On 17th and 18th October, there will be a two-day “Biosensors and Light in Dance” workshop; its participants will build a biosensor prototype and programme intelligent lights to dynamically respond to biosignals transmitted by the sensors from a human body. The final work will be presented at the BYOB PARTY (bring your own beamer) exhibition in the Podnik Club.

And how about plans for 19th October? On the last festival day you can take part in the popular “Light Painting in the Streets” workshop that will be held in Výtoň, Rašínovo nábřeží embankment. The workshop will be led by Slovak artist Mária Júdová; as always, bring your own camera and most of all, all your family.

On the same day in the evening, there will be the “TagTool” workshop, where animated light drawings will be created using iPads. Are you interested in finding out more about this young art form? We are looking forward to seeing you in the (A)void Floating Gallery.
