CZECH THE LIGHT Is Preparing an Exhibition of Light Art Photographs
The series of cultural events CZECH THE LIGHT supported by the CzechTourism agency in cooperation with SIGNAL festival is travelling all around the Czech Republic this year. In some places we present unique light installations, in others we teach you to have fun with light painting. Yet another event that we are preparing is a photo exhibition Prague Signals that will take place in the centre of Prague in August.
The exhibition will be presented in the street Na Příkopě between 12th and 24th August and will feature fourteen photos depicting the light art presented in the Czech Republic primarily at the CZECH THE LIGHT events and last year’s SIGNAL light festival.

The Cloud by Canadian artists Caitlind Brown and Wayne Garrett, Khora video mapping project by The Macula group, Metronome by V. K. Novák, The Moth by Jakub Nepraš, Charles’s Guard by Milan Cais … The audience will be able to see all these through the lenses of distinguished Czech photographers including Alexander Dobrovodský and Luboš Wišniewski.

“The photographs we chose for the Prague Signals exhibition capture the atmosphere and the best light installations of the first editions of the SIGNAL and CZECH THE LIGHT festivals. We wanted to show people Prague, Brno, Kutná Hora, Olomouc and other cities in the Czech Republic in different light with their architectural jewels, monuments as well as ordinary places turned into light art works. And we succeeded. With the second edition of the SIGNAL light festival approaching we want to remind people in Prague of this magical light experience,” explains Martin Pošta, director of the SIGNAL light festival..

The Prague Signals photos will be displayed between 12th – 24th August in the street Na Příkopě, admission will be free. The exhibition will be officially opened on 11th August at 8 p.m.
