A
round table lasting two hours, where the phenomenon of light festivals was discussed by numerous foreign guests, was held in the American Centre at 4 p.m. on Saturday. In the crowded room, plenty of interesting and amusing observations were exchanged and the debate could certainly be considered successful and useful.
On the same day, there was also a workshop entitled “
Games with Light, Shadow and Architecture for Children” with Tereza Durdilová who was examining the role of light and darkness in our life and throughout the history together with teen participants. This modelling workshop inspired by works of great architects was warmly received just like another event, the intensive two-day “
Biosensors and Light in Dance” workshop, held on 17
th and 18
th October in Veletržní palác. The workshop outcomes were presented at the BYOB (bring your own beamer) party in the Podnik Club.
The last two events were held on 19
th October. The popular
light painting event, this time with Slovak visual artist Mária Júdová, started in Náplavka Výtoň at 7 p.m. The workshop teamwork generated a number of nice photos; at the similarly successful “
TagTool” workshop held late in the evening, DRAWetc. Studio illustrators created interesting drawings using their iPads.

Thank you to all the workshop participants! We hope that the CZECH THE LIGHT events were not only entertaining but also enlightening for you!
